WHAT VIBRATIONS!? The Savage has a gear driven counter rotating balance shaft. This shaft takes care of the vibrations (of a "big single") that the crankshaft counter weights cannot handle.
I do not have any vibrations as you have mentioned. I can think of two possibilities, that would cause this perception. First it is possible that the gear on the counterbalance shaft was not placed in the correct timing position (to the crankshaft). I hardly believe that this is the problem. I have experienced what you call vibration vision problems, from my goggles or wrap around glasses fluttering!!
Even on large British single cylinder bikes----ones that really did vibrate----enough to crack the license plate in half, or make the gas tank sing like a siren; never did this cause me to have a VISION problem! It only cause a tickle in my rear and mostly in my feet. Check out your VISOR/GOGGLES/GLASSES and you will find that the air stream is fluttering them!
